Four of Swords

The Four of Swords meets you in the middle of effort. You've been thinking, deciding, bracing yourself — and that's real work. Your mind is tired in a way sleep alone won't fix. This card asks you to notice the difference between resting because you're lazy and resting because you're wise. Strategic pause isn't giving up. It's the thing that makes you capable of moving again.
Rest right now means something specific: stopping the internal argument, lowering the guard you didn't know you were holding, letting one afternoon be empty of plans. Not forever. Just enough to let the mental noise settle.
The swords will still be there when you're ready. But you won't be ready if you don't stop.
What kind of mental quiet would actually restore you today — not distract you, but genuinely settle something?
