The Devil

The Devil doesn't imprison you with locks — it whispers that the chains fit so well you've stopped noticing them. Sometimes what we call being trapped is actually a bargain we've made with ourselves — staying small in exchange for predictability, or staying silent in exchange for belonging. The hardest part isn't recognizing the cage. It's admitting that the door was never actually locked.
