Death reversed asks you to notice what you're still holding a pulse for — a relationship that stopped reciprocating months ago, a version of yourself that no longer serves, a situation everyone else has moved on from but you. The fear underneath isn't really about loss; it's about the space after. If this ends, what fills it? Nothing, maybe. Silence. The unknown. So you keep the body warm, tell yourself it might still wake up, perform the ritual of its aliveness even though part of you knows. Reversed, this card also speaks to shock — when change arrives so fast your mind hasn't caught up to what your body already knows is gone. Either way, you're caught between two deaths: the actual one and the one you're refusing to acknowledge. What would it cost you to stop trying to resurrect this, and what do you imagine that cost actually is?
