Ten of Swords

The Ten of Swords asks you to look at what has already broken, what you've stopped trying to save. There's a particular clarity that comes only after collapse — when you stop negotiating with what's already over. This card doesn't soften the fall or promise healing is near. It simply names the truth: you're at the bottom, and that's where the falling stops.
Notice what you feel when you release the last thread of resistance to something ending. Betrayal, loss, the shattering of how you thought things would be — these are real and they hurt. But there's also an exhaustion that comes with hitting bottom, and sometimes that exhaustion brings a strange relief. You don't have to keep bracing yourself. You don't have to keep hoping it will be different than it is.
The question isn't whether you'll feel better tomorrow. It's whether you're ready to stop falling by finally letting go of what's already gone.
What have you been holding onto that you need to name as truly finished?
