Six of Pentacles

The Six of Pentacles asks you to look at the exchanges happening in your life right now — the time, skill, money, or attention you're offering to others, and what's coming back to you. Not all giving should be equal in every moment, but over time, does the flow feel balanced? There's a difference between generosity and depletion, between sharing and self-sacrifice masquerading as kindness. This card isn't about keeping a ledger; it's about noticing whether you're giving from a place of genuine abundance or from a place of obligation, guilt, or the hope that giving will eventually buy you worth. It's also worth asking: are you comfortable receiving? Sometimes we guard our capacity to let others give to us, as though accepting help makes us less. The card suggests that real generosity moves both ways — that there's ease in it, not strain. Where in your life do you feel that ease, and where does giving feel like it costs you something you can't afford to lose?
