The Chariot · reversed

The Chariot reversed asks you to notice where your own hands are pulling the reins in opposite directions. Not laziness — something more intricate. You might be moving toward a goal while simultaneously protecting yourself from what that goal would require you to become. Or holding two incompatible wants at once, each one real, each one draining the other's fuel.

This card doesn't promise that alignment is simple or that you should choose the "right" direction. It's asking: what am I bracing against? What part of me is resisting even as another part pushes forward? Sometimes the stall isn't about lack of power — it's about conflict you haven't named yet.

The reversal suggests the chariot hasn't toppled. The reins are still in your hands. But momentum requires something the scattered version of yourself cannot yet offer: a temporary truce between what you want and what you fear.
