The Devil

The Devil asks you to sit with a hard truth: the cage you're in might have a door you've simply stopped looking for. This isn't about sudden escape or dramatic freedom. It's about noticing where you've confused "I can't leave" with "I'm afraid to leave" — where a pattern, a relationship, a habit, or even a version of yourself has become so familiar that staying feels safer than the unknown.
The Devil's real power lives in the stories we tell to justify staying. That compulsion, that compromise you make daily, that thing you know isn't working but you've stopped naming as a choice. What would shift if you admitted, quietly, that you're staying because the cost of leaving feels too high right now — not because you have no other option?
Today, look at one situation where you feel stuck. Not to fix it. Just to ask yourself: what am I getting out of this that I'm afraid to lose?
What The Devil tends to raise
