The feature
The Reflection Room
You bring a card and the Room asks what it might be reflecting back at you. It's a guided conversation that runs on questions instead of answers, and it never once tells you what's going to happen.

A conversation that keeps asking
Most tarot tools hand you a paragraph of meaning and stop. The Room does the opposite: it reads the card you brought and the line you wrote about your situation, and it opens with a question aimed at the specific thing you said. Answer it, and it asks another. The thread builds the way a good conversation with a perceptive friend does — each reply narrower and more useful than the last.
It is deliberately bad at fortune-telling. Ask it what will happen and it will turn the question back on you, because "what happens next" is the one thing an image of a person holding a lantern cannot help you with, while "what are you avoiding by staying busy" is a question it's surprisingly good at.
What it does with what you write
When you ask for a reply, the card and your message are sent to Anthropic's Claude to generate it, and that's the entire payload. Anthropic doesn't train its models on it and deletes it within 30 days. We never log it and never send it to analytics. The reflection is between you, the card, and a model that forgets.
The honest limits
Signed out, you can start three threads a day. A free account raises it to ten. That's the whole difference on this feature — the cap is there because every reply is a real AI call, and ten a day is well past what a daily practice asks for. When you hit it, the Room says so kindly and the count resets in the morning.
Bring a card
Name a card you've pulled, say what's on your mind, and see what it asks you. No account needed to start.
Questions about the Room
- What is a “thread,” and why is there a daily limit on it?
- A thread is one back-and-forth conversation about a card. Signed out you get three a day; a free account raises that to ten. The cap exists because each reply is a real AI call that costs us something — it's a ceiling against runaway use, not a nudge to upgrade, and ten is more than a daily practice needs.
- Does it ever tell me what to do?
- No. The whole design forbids it. It won't predict an outcome, prescribe a decision, or tell you what a card “means” for you. It reads what you brought and hands back a question, then another, so you do the thinking. If you want advice, it's the wrong room.
- What happens to what I type into it?
- The card and your message go to Anthropic's Claude to generate the reply, and nothing else. Anthropic doesn't train on it and deletes it within 30 days. We never write it to a log and never send it to analytics. If you'd rather a thought never left your device, journal on the card without opening the Room.
- Can I use it without an account?
- Yes. The Room works signed out — you just get three threads a day instead of ten, and the conversation is saved only if you save it to your on-device journal.
